Tidal Computing Power
Tidal Computing is a cost-effective short-term computing resource service launched by WebCal, featuring:
Advantages
- In a nutshell: It’s cheaper while offering the same stability as servers in other regions. For example, a high-end 3090 costs only about 1.68 per hour.
Disadvantages
- The maximum rental period for hosts is shorter than in other regions—for example, it ranges from about 15 to 90 days. Upon expiration, the host will be deactivated and the data will be deleted.
- Data retention after shutdown is short; instances are released and data is deleted after 7 days of continuous shutdown (15 days in other regions).
- There is no WebCal cloud storage service, but you can use Alibaba Cloud Drive, Baidu Netdisk, and similar services. Please refer to the Public Cloud Storage Documentation
Rental Tips
When renting, please confirm the host’s expiration date. Hosts set to expire within 15 days will display a countdown to removal; for some hosts, the removal may be postponed by up to 3 days prior to expiration, and they will remain available for rent or sale.

For instances rented in the Tidal Computing Zone, please note the instance release time. If you no longer plan to use the instance, please back up your data promptly. The instance will be released when the host’s decommissioning time or the instance’s release time expires (at which point the data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered).
