About the Scholars Program

The WebCal Scholars Program is a public-interest industry-academia-research collaboration initiative launched by WebCal for scholars in China, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan engaged in scientific research and talent development in the field of artificial intelligence. It aims to support their continued breakthroughs in original theories and methods, encourage their dedication to AI education, research, and talent development, and contribute to the growth of the AI industry.

Domain-Specific

The WebCal Scholar Program is designed for scholars at universities and research institutions worldwide who are engaged in scientific research and talent development in the field of artificial intelligence theory and applications. Disciplinary areas include, but are not limited to: fundamental theories of artificial intelligence, machine learning, pattern recognition and computer vision, multimedia technology, natural language processing, big data, and interdisciplinary research combining artificial intelligence with other fields.

Funding

The initial funding for the industry-academia-research collaboration program is 2 million yuan. Twenty outstanding scholars will be selected, and those accepted into the program will receive funding for industry-academia-research collaboration.
